St. Samapson’s High students have been getting involved in ‘The Big Draw’. This is an international event encouraging everyone to be involved in drawing during the month of October. Two local artists Bridget Spinney and Francis Lemmon have been working with High School students to produce collaborative work which will be on display at Les Beaucamps Sat 18 Oct 12-2pm. Some of our students spent last Saturday in school getting creative. They had a go at various mark making techniques, produced drawings of a Guernsey themed still-life and worked together to produce an abstract canvas. The following students worked really hard and incredibly well together; Abi Wherry, Cassidy Jones, Will Thoumine, Chloe Ogier, Phoebe Solway and Taylor Arrowsmith. The Artists left us their still-life for one week so that other students could also produce artwork from this theme. All of the events are being photographed and documented and will be entered into a Big Draw competition.
