Baubigny Schools Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

Baubigny Schools Parent Teacher Association (PTA) organised the first ever Baubigny Schools Summer Fete on Sunday 23rd June. The weather meant that most of it had to be held inside, so the school was buzzing with various entertainment, stalls, bouncy castles, raffle and refreshments positioned around the school buildings. Not only was the event enormous fun, but it also proved to be a great fund raiser, with the total estimated at being over £4,500. Many thanks go to all who helped with the event and all who supported it on the day! We are also very grateful to all the very generous sponsors who helped out.

The PTA arranged for goody bags to be given to all the participants of this year’s West Coast Challenge. The bags contained a drink, piece of fruit, crisps, snacks and sweets, all made possible through the generous support of a number of sponsors as follows:

Waitrose – Crisps and apples
Healthspan – Baked crisps
Sandpiper/Iceland – Drinks and Haribo sweets
Alliance – chocolate
Co-Op – chocolate
Lee Le Blancq – Chupa Chup Lollies (given out at end of the walk)
A1 Distributors – goody bags

Well done to all those who took part in the walk – and hopefully the goody bags helped in keeping up those energy levels!

A disco for Years 6, 7 and 8 was held on 9th July. This was a fun social event which pupils who will be joining the school in September had an opportunity to attend. The tuck shop seemed to be as popular as the dancing, but Ms. Dale took to the dance floor to show the students the way to do it! Thanks to the technicians who ran the music and lights for the evening.

The PTA Annual General Meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Wednesday 9th October in the Hall at Le Murier School. All teachers, parents and friends of pupils are welcome to attend. As well as members required for the committee in order to organise events and raise funds for the schools, there is also a need for general support for the PTA, so please come along. It will be a chance to hear what we have been doing, and an opportunity to offer your support to the fantastic community of Baubigny Schools!
